Join Our Donor Organizing Team!

Become a founding member of Mind the Movement’s volunteer peer-to-peer fundraising team!

Help Mind the Movement raise money to pay for mental health care, peer support and crisis training for campaign staff, grassroots organizers and former federal workers.

Who should join: Anyone interested in helping to raise money for mental health care for movement and democracy workers. If you’ve worked in, followed or volunteered in political or advocacy spaces – you know how stressful and high stakes it is. That understanding is more than enough to make the case for why we need to invest in the people who do this work full-time.

You don’t need to know a bunch of rich people. You just need to be willing to ask people you know to give $5 or more. No, really. Mind the Movement is lucky to have a handful of donors who give $5 each month and it means the world to us. If you know a handful of people who could give that amount or more – you’re able to become a Donor Organizer!!

What does it entail: As a founding member, you’ll get to help shape what the team looks like. But here are some basics: you’ll attend at least one virtual meeting per month with the rest of the team. You’ll set a fundraising goal for yourself each month and make the asks or hold events to help you hit that goal. You’ll stay up to date on the team and Mind the Movement via email and Whatsapp group.

Time commitment: At least 5 hours per month

What you get: Aside from the general feeling of satisfaction from knowing you helped get frontline democracy workers the mental health care they otherwise couldn’t access – you’ll be a part of a values aligned community. You’ll also receive training, skills building and coaching along the way. You’ll gain tangible skills and experience you can add to your resume.

Things to know: Mind the Movement is a 501c3 charitable organization which means we’re required by law to be strictly nonpartisan in all of our communication. So when you’re talking about Mind the Movement, you’ll need to stay focused on the workers we support and not on any political candidate, party or issue area.

This is a volunteer opportunity for folks who have time to give to a brand new organization that just launched in November of 2025. We’re small and scrappy and don’t have everything perfectly ironed out yet. If you like being creative and helping to grow something, you’re in the right place!
